A: The myResearch Portal is an online system designed to provide a central point for both faculty members and designated staff to access sponsored research portfolio information.
Q: What are the benefits of the myResearch Portal?
A: The myResearch Portal provides quick and easy access to information regarding a principal investigator’s sponsored research portfolio, including information regarding pending proposals, negotiations, active awards, closed awards, non-funded proposals, and the financial status of active awards.
Q: How do I access the myResearch Portal?

Q: What is Banner?
A: Banner is the University’s system of record for financial, student, HR and other information. The myResearch Portal retrieves financial information from the Banner system.
Q: What do I do if my data is incorrect?
A: The myResearch Portal team will assist you in correcting any inaccurate data from the source system. You can contact the team by filling out the START myResearch Support Form.
Q: Where do I find more information about the categories on the financial summary?
A: If you would like more information about how the account codes are categorized, please fill out the START myResearch Support Form.
Q: How can I download my current and pending support?
A: Navigate to the "Units & Investigators" section and click on the "View Investigators" icon [ ] to see a unit's investigators with current and pending support.
Q: How do I grant access to my research portfolio to someone else?
A: You may grant access to your research portfolio to someone else by requesting delegate access for that person. To request delegate access for someone, please fill out the START myResearch Support Form.
Q: I support a Principal Investigator(s) and I am not able to see their research portfolio(s). Whom should I contact?
A: You can have the Principal Investigator(s) submit a request to provide you with delegate access (please see #11 above). If you wish to request to see an entire department or organization, please make the request to your Unit Security Contact (USC). Your USC will use the USC Security Application to make this request.
Q: An individual is listed as being able to see my research portfolio and I need to remove them, whom should I contact?
A: To request to have delegate access to your research portfolio removed, please fill out the START myResearch Support Form.
Q: How do indicate that a Pending Proposal was not funded?
A: You can indicate a pending proposal has not been funded by navigating to Pending Proposals and clicking on the "Mark as Non-Funded" button for the proposal. Please review this job aid for a step-by-step explanation.
Q: I have an award that is not showing up, whom should I contact?
A: The myResearch Portal team will assist you in correcting this. Please fill out the START myResearch Support Form.
Q: When I click on View C-FOAPs or when I try to load transactions on Active Award Summary the pop-ups do not open.
A: If you are using Internet Explorer as your web browser make sure you are using Internet Explorer 9 or newer with Compatibility View turned off. You may also try using a different web browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the myResearch staff by filling out the START myResearch Support Form.
